Who
We
Are
The Traditional TaeKwon-Do Alliance was founded in Denver, Colorado in 2012. We currently have four affiliated schools:
Hups TKD WestView TKD Gunnison TKD Paonia TKD
In Denver, Grandmaster Kent Hups (9th Dan) is our head instructor with 49 years of experience teaching. Our assistant instructors include Kenton Good (5th Dan), Adrienne Harness (5th Dan), Jim Hyle (4th Dan), and Adam Eberling (2nd Dan). Combined, our instructors have over 100 years of experience. Grandmaster Hups trained personally with General Choi (the founder of TaeKwon-Do and the first Grand Master) for many years, including the General's last International Instructors Seminar in Denver in April 2002, shortly before his passing. Accordingly, our standards are high, and our desire to help our students become the best students possible is strong.
We hold the Colorado State Championships every year which is open to all practitioners of Chang-Hon style TaeKwon-Do patterns regardless of affiliation or membership in the TTA. Additionally, there are generally 6-7 seminars held each year including technique, patterns, kicking, Ho Sin Sul (self-defense), Sparring/Referee, Step Sparring and Breaking seminars as well as two additional Black Belt workouts and a summer camp at a beautiful spot in the mountains.
We encourage everyone to come check out our classes and see how we can help you!
